Questions

Can I start numbering from a different number?

Yes. Change "Start at", for example to 5 if this PDF continues another document. Tick "Skip the first page" to keep a cover page without a number; the second page then gets the first number.

What styles are there?

Plain (3), Page 3, Page 3 of 12, and 3 / 12. The total counts every page in the file.

Does it work on rotated or landscape pages?

Yes. The numbers are placed as the page looks, so they stay upright and at the same spot on portrait, landscape and rotated pages.

Can I number only some pages?

Use "Pages" to number a range such as 3-10. Other pages stay unnumbered, and the numbers still follow the real page positions.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The numbers are drawn on your computer inside this tab.

Can I password-protect the result?

Yes. Switch on "Password-protect" and the result is encrypted with AES-256. It is off by default.
